Baggy Trousers Gig - 5th October 2007

Oh what a time we had sorting this one out first of all we were triple booked at the first venue then the band could not make it to the second and finally third time lucky we had the first venue which was Dylan's in Cwmavon and the band on the same night what else could possibly go wrong.

Well were do I start, after all the above I had trouble getting the tickets to sell which saw me running around Swansea like I had ants in me pants trying to find the place to pick them up - the tickets that is. finally got them. Then a few weeks later they were selling really well when some one decided that he was in fact the Mia Tomlinson fund and nicked the money from behind
the bar at Dylan's!!!!! I know!

But every cloud as a sliver lining Ha Ha.

Because of that person we sold even more tickets and sold more on the night and had been given cash donations and extra raffle prizes inc MP3 player and CD player, Panto Tickets and so forth, all in all we raised £1,000 on the night which I think is very good for the very first charity gig in aid of the Mia Tomlinson Fund.

The night its self was brilliant every one had a ball dancing to "Our House ", "It Must Be Love" and of course "Baggy Trousers".

The raffle was great with me on the mic shouting out the numbers, my friend Donna running up and down the hall like her feet were on fire getting people to pick the tickets out of bucket and my other friend Michelle handing out the prizes. some people were lucky enough to get some good prizes and others well all I can say is sorry!! its luck of the draw I'm afraid. oh yes and the mystery prize Eleanor sorry I could not resist I said you would get it ha ha (it was 2 safety pins).

Well I would just like to say thank you to every one for coming and supporting the Mia Tomlinson fund and thank you to those who donated raffle prizes and cash donations hope you will all come to more of our events.

Charity Auction At The Winston Hotel In Swansea

Saturday November 6th 2007

Everyone in their best bib and tucker turned up for the first Mia Tomlinson charity auction at The Winston Hotel in Swansea, the night started of with a few drinks in the bar and then into the main roon for a three course meal was absolutly beautiful ( compliments to the chef. ) followed by Mr Daivd Vaughan which his after dinner speech, he had everyone in fits of laughter and ready and willing to spend all their money on the wonderfull items we had for auction including a bathroom worth £2,500 and a holiday to the south of france.

After the auction we had many fun and games where more prizes were won and a disco so everyone could bop the rest of the night away, a good night was enjoyed by all and hopefully we will make the action an annual event.

I wolud like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Dai Vaughan for his brilliant ability to make people spend money and to Paula and Simon  of the Winston Hotel who worked hard to make this night a great success. The grand total of the night was a massive £4,000 so thankyou to all of those who came to the auction and supported the Mia Tomlinson Fund, we now have enough money to start the registerion process.

Thankyou all once again for showing us support in this worthwhile charity .
